What's In My Bag - GG Marmont Matelassé Mini Bag

A few months ago, I decided to purchase the Gucci GG Marmont Matelassé Mini Bag.
The bag retails at $980 which when deciding between this bag and the Gucci Disco bag that retails at $1190, I decided to go with this one. With Gucci seemingly raising the prices (The Gucci Disco bag was $980 when I saw it for the very first time), I had to get it quick - or that was my reasoning to make sure I got it lol.

The bag comes in multiple sizes and because I was in need of a smaller black bag that I would wear with leggings - let's face it, I mostly wear leggings so black was a must need color in my closet. I'm not quite sure why I don't have that many black bags.
Seeing all the bloggers and influencers get this bag ages ago, I was a bit behind trend but I needed a staple for my closet more than just to follow whatever trend was going on.

The description on Gucci's website is: 'The mini GG Marmont chain shoulder bag has a softly structured shape and a zip top closure with Double G hardware. The chain shoulder strap has a leather shoulder detail. Made in matelassé leather with a chevron design and GG on the back.'

Honestly, if I knew how much I would be using this bag, I would've bought it right when it came out.
I have been using this bag almost EVERY SINGLE DAY ever since I bought it - Louis Vuitton who? JK - but really though...

So I thought it would be necessary to show what's in my bag every day, in a way, also showing what fits in this tiny bag.

It's safe to say my essentials fit perfectly in this bag. However when I add my phone in, it's a big of a snug but it can still be closed without having to force it in.

My wallet - Louis Vuitton Monogram Pocket Organizer which I may or may not have bought just to fit this bag. Oops. Honestly this wallet is under the men's category which I hate because I think it's more of a unisex wallet. All my cards fit perfectly inside and closes nicely without having to unzip or button anything. You can just flip it open and pull out your cards.

My keys - LV Upside Down Illustré Bag Charm and Key Holder. The key chain is more of a bag charm - also under the men's category. I guess when it comes to smaller accessorizes, they list it all under the men's? lol. Well it's pretty big which was perfect for people who tend to leave their keys just about everywhere, it's perfect to just reach in a bag and grab it right out. I joke that I could probably put a cocktail on it since it's the size of a coaster.

My sunglasses - Gucci 57mm Square Sunglasses. Last season Gucci was hitting all the right notes with every single one of their products. Honestly being from someone who owns nothing from them to wanting everything from their collections, they've done an amazing job! These cover up my whole face which is perfect for anyday and with Houston's sun, I need it! (The prices seem to keep bumping up for these too)

My Perfume - Commodity's Mimosa
My all time favorite brand Commodity truly comes out with the best scents. I love the smell of oranges and honestly who doesn't like mimosas? If you're not sure about the scents, they have testers that you can purchase before committing to a full or travel size bottle but honestly, I love all their scents so it's hard to pick just one, believe me.
This goes with my everywhere and just a few spray lasts forever, having me smell like oranges - in the best way.

My lipbalm - Smith's Strawberry Lip balm. OMG. One of the best lipbalms hands down. They come in tubes like this or little tin cans that you can apply with your finger. Personally, this fits me so much better since it's easy and fast. The smell is amazing and it makes your lips heavenly soft. I mean who can complain when your lips smells and tastes like strawberries?

Everything fits in perfectly with a bit of room to spare

I'm definately more of a dress as casual as possible type of person so if this bag can go with everything from leggings and sneakers to dresses and heels, it's an amazing investment. The bag to me also isn't tacky in a way that it shows off the brand just enough. I've never really been a huge fan of chains on bags hence why all my bags are leather straps but for some reason, the amount of chain on this one gives it a nice pop so you can dress up or down with it.

All for now,

Valentine's Day Outfit

Happy Valentine's Day!
Or basically, my only day in the whole year where I have an excuse to dress in pink and red

Since dresses aren't really my thing, I've been saving up this boat neck half sleeve for a special day. Stripes can make you look a bit bigger so I try and make it the under layer as well as being the only pattern on my outfit (tucking in the corner of the shirt helps elongate the legs as well as clean up the boxy shirt). White jeans are a must, matching with the white stripes and making sure the outfit is still soft while not being overpowering. Just to give it the illusion of longer legs, I always roll up my jeans, creating a cuff sometimes will seem as if your leg is a few inches longer (a little white lie didn't hurt anyone, right?)
Because the weather in Houston isn't cold but hasn't really warmed up yet, a soft wool cardigan will definitely pull the look together and make sure to keep you warm and cozy!
I went with 4" booties that had a thick heel just to make sure I could walk in them without falling all over the place, if your day ends with a cozy picnic night, I would suggest bringing some comfy shoes (in my case I brought my Classic Ugg Mini Boot in chestnut)
Finally, a good bag would certainly tie your outfit together and help you packs all those essentials!
Since most, if not all of the things in this photo have been in my closet for over the years, it's hard to find the exact link to them but I tried to find the closest products that would replace it!

All for now,

Pumpkin Day

Pumpkin Days are always my favorite.
It means not only am I closer to thanksgiving/winter break but the weather is always just right.
You can put on a pair of jeans and pair it with absolutely anything, from a tank top to a big sweater. You're never overdressed nor underdressed

Not to mention, pumpkins are the best natural photo shoot place that basically everything just goes together and screams fall.

I was planning my outfit before the day, wondering if I should go in boots and a sweater but I'm so happy I didn't because the heat was just too much since I wanted to get there at 10 when it first opened. It got very very hot when noon came and I actually began to regret my choice of bringing a cardigan as I didn't have hands to carry it but I also didn't want to just drag it along. I ended up tying it to my bag and it kept falling out which was not a good scene. *Note to self, no cardigans next year*

The sun was shinning beautifully on Saturday when I went and it was just the right temperature, as long as you were in a cool shade, you would feel the instant breeze blowing towards you keeping you chill so there were no sweat stains on my shirt. (The shirt is 100% rayon so you could definitely see any sort of liquid).

I was planning on going with my new Tory Burch boots which I am currently in love with but I didn't want to risk the chance of getting it dirty (even though I sprayed it) and I haven't exactly broken them in yet (imagine the pain of walking for 4 hours). I actually don't wear chucks anymore but I keep them stacked up in the garage (Oh Tami!) and since there was about 30 different pairs, I didn't even remember I had this basic pair which not till right before I got in the car I found. I think it paired up nicely with the outfit as it tied the whole outfit to be a bit country wise and not to formal for just a farm.

The degrees right now in Houston is about 66 - 82F (19 - 28C) so you could imagine that this was a fit outfit for walking around in a farm.

I would advise you to bring a hat since the top of my head was burning and of course, a pair of sunglasses!
I actually, like the clumsy person I am didn't put on sunscreen (I didn't actually forget, I just didn't like the stickiness of sunscreen but I've yet to found one that isn't super sticky) so when I got back, I was and still am probably 2 shades darker than my normal skin).

Lastly, always to remember to bring a bag you feel comfortable carrying, I didn't actually want to drag along a huge bag that would tire my shoulders so I brought my LV cross body called the Favorite MM bag and it fits everything from my keys to wet wipes to even a bottle of water!
(I will probably do a what's in my bag next)

I actually had a really nice day enjoying kids activities (when we got our wrist bands, the lady was like tell your kids to put them on now and it was so awkward we had to tell her no it was for us - huge adults) but who cares really, we had fun.

Got some "treasures" mining this box (Loose terms but really I don't know what I'm even saying)

Went to what they called "Pumpkin Hollar" and it was filled with craved pumpkins being lit up.

We went on a few rides and walked around and before we knew it, we had already spent 3 hours there so it was time to go home.
I was however determined to go pick flowers which later on I had to grow away because the amount of bees and bugs I just didn't want them in my car.

We went flower picking right before we got some food and left to go home.

It was a great day, well spent and worth the money so if you're in Houston, give it a try.

Wearing: Free People's Lace Trim Handkerchief Hem Tank, color Cherry/ Abercrombie & Fitch Skinny Jeans, Medium washed/ Chuck Taylor Classic Colors, Navy.

I have a set of jewelry that I put on everyday consisting of: Tiffany Rings and Necklace/ Burberry watch/ Louis Vuitton bracelet. (Which well get a closer look in upcoming blogposts).

The tank was a bit sheer and revealed a lot behind my back and the sides but nothing a bralette can't fix (if you prefer, a cami would do a great job too). I love the cherry color as it fits perfectly with the fall colors and would still make you stand out from all the other fall colors happening around. Needless to say, it paired up perfectly with the pumpkins.

For the jeans, really since the boyfriend jeans didn't give me the vibe I was going for, I ended up getting skinny jeans since went being put on, they looked like boyfriend jeans but with that tight grab and slim shape.

The chucks were a simple add to tie the outfit together, bringing the casual look to the tank and jeans. While you won't have to worry about damaging it, it gives the outfit that country feel while still being energized, ready to go instead of being way too dressed up.

My nail color were the same shade of red as the shirt, which I've been sporting all fall since I got it. It just gives it that nice fall feel.

This post is a bit late since pumpkin day was yesterday but I'm happy it went up anyways.

Happy be-lated pumpkin day,
