H2O+ beauty products & Foreo's "Save The Sea" luna mini 2

A few weeks ago, I entered an Instagram contest from H2O+ beauty and Foreo; where if I won, I would get five products from H2O+ and a special edition Foreo Luna Mini 2.
I was so excited to actually WIN the items from the giveaway!!

I’m all for skincare simply because I think it’s so important for us to take care of ourselves and make sure our skin stays healthy.
Personally, I’ve always had skin problems since high school, so I’ve been trying countless different products to find the right one for my skin so you know I HAD to do a review about this new product on my blog! What better way to start off the school year than with nice, glowing skin, especially after all the long nights of staying awake during summer?

SEPHORA 500 POINTS REWARD | DIOR

There have been so many complaints about Sephora's rewards system.

One of the new 500 points reward

Basically, how the system works is for every dollar you spend, you get a point.
It sounds good ideally but to claim something as small as a sample size product, you have to have at least 100 points meaning you've spent at least $100 on products.
To be honest, $100 on make up and/or skin care products is no biggie because they can cost a lot of money.
But then, every month, Sephora gives you these 250 points which are usually perfumes or 500 points which are a collection of deluxe samples from a brand. That's where your points can fly off really fast.

I have over 2000 points saved up in my account because honestly, there really has been anything that I wanted to spend my points on - for the 500 mark that is.

Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip - Liquid lipstick that will literally stick with you till the end!

DROP EVERYTHING GUYS.
This is a huge game changer!

lipstick that doesn't rub off!

I used to hate lipstick because they would get so messy, I would have lipstick on my sleeves, on my coffee cups and on every single napkin after I eat. The worst part about it is that the color rubs off so you would have to constantly apply it which means you'll always have to carry your lipstick where ever you go. Not that lipsticks weigh like 10 thousand pounds and you'll have to pick that or your organs - It's a pain if you are like me and don't want to carry anything but your phone so you can skip the bag check lines.

Honestly, I've been trying so many different brands and I still haven't found the perfect lipstick that would stay forever.
That is, until I found Beauty Bakerie's liquid lipsticks or lip whips.
I'm guessing you may have seen a bunch of beauty clips on Instagram showing how after the lipstick dries, it does not budge; not even under water (enough with the "take your date to go swimming joke" since make up doesn't even wash away anymore. LOL).
Let me tell you something, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE posted the name of the lipstick brand so I spent a good few weeks trying to find the name with ridiculous searches like "lipstick that doesn't smudge" or "liquid lipstick that dries matte" - none really gave me the result I wanted until one day, I happen to stumble on their own Instagram page.
THANK THE INTERNET GOD.

Memebox Korean Face Masks - First Thoughts

I think for beauty products, many on the affordable side and some on the high-end side, Korean beauty products would be the best. For me, being Asian and having the skin type, I feel like K-beauty products suit me more than French brands or American brands. I'm not sure if it's because of the way skin types work or I sometimes feel like Koreans are truly leading when it comes to beauty supplies.
However, I'm not a big fan of the whole whitening or do I believe in the face slimming products that everyone in Asia seems to be obsessed with. I think I draw the line there where it comes to fixing how your natural body is. Of course, I hate acne and having to battle acne ever since I was in high school, I'm very cautious when every single product I put on my face. Sometimes, a $200 mask doesn't work as well as a $2 mask but I think it varies between brands and of course skin types.
For me personally, I've tried countless moisturizers ranging from $500 to $60 and I finally found one that doesn't (hasn't) irritate my skin and actually does what it's supposed to do without the side effects. I think for masks, it's a little bit cheaper although I'm pretty sure the total amount of money I've spent on face masks would probably be able to put me through college now. OOPS.

So, I recently found this online(?) store called memebox, really rather randomly - I was looking for subscription boxes and stumbled across someone's review about a sheet mask box they ordered. Since K-beauty finally hit the states and have been highly popular last year, I thought why not get some (very cute) face masks to pamper myself - my routine is normally when you're in the shower and it's all steamy, the steam is supposed to help open up your pores which helps your skin absorb more minerals(?) - so I wash my face in the shower then the moment I get out, I put on a sheet mask or any mask. For me, I get the best results this way.

I read a lot of reviews and comments before making any purchases on any online store simply because I don't want to wait forever to finally receive something that is incorrect. I stumbled across some pretty bad looking reviews on Facebook where people were complaining that they did not receive their products correctly or that they have not received any emails about their order being shipped. But along side those comments, many people seemed pleased with the store so I decided to give it a try.

If you click on this link: CLICK ME
You will receive 20% off your first purchase or more of $25 and you'll get free priority shipping for orders over $30.
Doesn't sound to shabby at all. Right?

I placed my order on March 13, 2016;
Got a shipment confirmation on March 16, 2016;
Received my package on March 19, 2016.

I would say it is pretty fast but certainly not the fastest I've seen a company work. However, considering many many stores take forever to ship out your package, I would give memebox a 8/10 for the whole shipping process.
I took a week for me to receive my box but I am willing to bet that maybe not everyone received their package in this time period. Hopefully next time I order, I will get the same luck?

The outside of the box is just your typical brown cardboard box.
When you open the box, for me, this is what it looked like:

I will admit that I am a little bit obsessed with the hot pink and the cute receipt.
A lot of the masks I purchased were on sale and I will say that they have some really good deals on masks, and in my case, some of the masks actually cost less if you purchase them separately instead of buying a whole "value" pack so be careful and calculate the prices first.

My Top 5 Favorite Facial Mists

Do you ever sit through a whole day working and feeling your face get burnt off by the dreadful light of your computer screen?
Have you ever gone hiking or strolling outside under the sun and feel your face also melting?

Don't you wish you could just splash water on your face but when looking around, you either:

(A) are in the middle of a park and the closest water source is a puddle that may or may not be filled with germs (just kidding, it most certainly has germs and only germs, there ain't no minerals in there!)

or

(B) are in a public space where the only source of water comes from the public bathrooms where they want to be eco friendly and decided paper towels must go so after your face is soaking wet and you reach for a paper towel, none can be found so your only solution to getting a dry face to walk outside in public without looking like a freak is to wipe it on your shirt (or in desperation, CLEAN toilet paper) but then since all the people in line to use the bathroom are waiting for you, you have to pretend to sneeze and wipe your face to look less gross. (may or may not be a true story. LOL)

WELL THEN.
It seems that you are in luck!

Thanks to the advancements of technology in the twenty-first century,
designed for your convenience,
in no way making you look weird for spraying stuff onto your face,
with little to a lot of scent to annoy the people around you,
..
...
FACIAL MISTS!

ok fine, facial mists are not that new and literally everyone has one or at least have heard of them (if not, have you seen the scene in Lilo & Stitch where Stitch doesn't behave and Lilo just decides to squirt him with water - it's basically the same concept but in better intentions? and better, more expensive containers. LOL)

So I've been in love with them ever since I've had my horrible skin problems and had to figure out a way to stay moisturized throughout the day.
After trying different mists from different brands, I decided to list out my top five that I love and use on rotation.

In a decreasing order, number 1 being the one I love the most and 5 being my least favorite out of the five. And you might notice that I like to mention price and calculate the worthiness of the price or not. You can never have too much money :)

1. CLINIQUE Moisture Surge Face Spray (http://bit.ly/1MdkBqz)
($23 for 4.2 fl. oz. so roughly ~$5.47/ fl. oz.)

I would like to start off by saying this mist worked miracles for me months ago but lately has been quite stingy and sticky (it burns my face at times and leaves my face feeling sticky and not fresh).

However it stays a lot longer than other facial mists. For example, when I spray another mist, it feels so good literally the moment the spray hits my face but after a few minutes, my face feels incredibly dry and I would have to keep respraying to make sure I feel refreshed - which in my case, the life of the sprays don't last very long and I constantly have to restock them again and again within a month or two, could be harmful to your budget.

The price on the product isn't too crazy and to be honest I've gone through three of them in almost a year? Obviously not bad. The reason I love this moisturizer the most is because of the ability to moisturize your skin just by spraying! I know you may think that oh, all of the sprays refreshes your face, but I've actually tried so many and this on actually does provide the ability to moisturize your skin - hence the stickiness feeling. My face so dry during very single day of the year (because of the acne products I use) so for my worst days, I actually apply 2 layers of moisturizer before I leave the house and I constantly have to reapply throughout the day if I don't want to feel like a walking mummy. This sort of eliminates the factor of carrying a container of moisturizer with you everywhere and touching your face with your hands. The design is a plastic bottle with a sheer pink color and the logo in silver. Not much creativity super artistic drawings on the spray but I do love the pink color very much.

Overall, I think this would be my number 1 because the price isn't too crazy, it comes in a easy travel friendly packaging (plastic) however I don't think it's allowed on planes because it is 4.2 fl. oz. So maybe not the best for flights. It moisturizes your skin and theres a bit of a smell when it first hits you but I got used to that and I'm sure if you use it long enough, the smell will kind of just turn into nothing. I would saw go for it if you have used the brand before (I used to use their line of acne solving products but I just grew out of them).

2. CAUDALÍE Grape Water Harvest (http://bit.ly/22asMNo)
($22 for 6.7 fl. oz. or $13 for 2.5 fl. oz)

The pricing to me doesn't make any sense because of how the pricing is, the bigger version is $22 for 6.7 fl. oz. which makes it roughly $3.28/fl. oz. while the smaller version retails at about $13 for 2.5 fl. oz. which almost doubles the price to $5.2/fl. oz. WHAAATTTT? Pretty crazy right? So if you know FOR SURE you like raisins, buy the bigger version to get your money's worth. Don't be like me and buy the tiny version to test it out then to eventually finding out that I paid almost double for what I could've paid for less. SIGH. However, I still believe out of the five, if you buy the 6.7 fl. oz. version, you will ultimately get the BEST DEAL!

Now that I got the most confusing part out of this review of this product, I can actually talk about how much I like it. So i'm not a HUGE raisins fan but I do love fresh grapes, this to me smells completely 100% like those raisins you would get in your lunch box when you were a kid and not at all like any other grape products, doesn't even smell like grape juice. But honestly, raisins are grapes so I guess I would give them a pass on the whole smell detector test. The spray compared to all the others is a lot lighter, essentially a mist that barely seems like anything but once it hits you, it actually does drench a bit (if you spray like half the bottle at a time like me, you'll look exactly like you just stuck your head out of a window while it was raining).

For me personally, the spray dries up super fast and I don't know if it's just because my skin is dry or is it because of the formula. However, I think in the case that you are buying the larger version, I would believe you would get more uses out of it to keep your face refreshed compared to the tiny travel version I bought. Even though it says on the bottle that it hydrates, I'm not sure if it's the best product for the job.

This grape water spray is perfect for traveling because it comes in two different sizes and obviously the 2.5 fl. oz. version is designed for just that. The bottle itself is very cool as in cold because I read it contains nitrogen? (I mean I'm terrible at chemistry so I don't know if that's why it's so cold when you touch it or not. Sorry) It seems to be in a steel? like bottle so it's always lower than ran temperature (so on those hot desperate days, you can just push it against your face. YAY for germs!) I love the design even though when I first bought it the grape looked like dried up human fingerprints but that's just me being creepy; the over all design is very chic and the brand is known for the color green so it stays true to the brand :) Buy and test it out if you like the smell of raisins/grapes, if not, I'm not 100% sure you would want to spray it all over your face, you know, where your nose -  the only part of your body that can smell, is.

3. EVIAN facial spray (http://bit.ly/1plFn2D)
($7/bottle so $1.78/oz ; normally you will see it being sold in sets of 2 or 3)

For this mist, the prices differ a bit from store to store, some selling them at $8 while others go for $7 or $7.50. It's super weird considering all the stores I looked at were pretty big stores (you would think that they would match the price right?! NOPE.) I would say $7 is a right price because it was $7 everywhere when I first bought it before the prices differed.

I love this product so much but because it's tiny and when I say tiny I mean use it within a good few weeks or so and it will be gone!
I love Evian water because I think they have the best packaging for their bottles out in the water market (something about pink I guess) so when I found out they had a facial spray I was SO EXCITED.

However guys, this is literally just spraying water on your face, the contents printed on the bottle literally is just water and nitrogen. there is no extra anything to make your face sticky or there's no special smell to it. I personally love it because it's just a cute bottle that has no smell and is extra cooling. But beware, it isn't a slight gentle mist, this spray legit hits you in the face - it reminds me of the scene in Lilo & Stitch every single time I use it. When people see me using this, they always suggest be just washing my face since it's the same thing but THEY DON'T GET IT. (gotta pay extra for that nitrogen aqua right? LOL it comes in a super chic bottle so.... gimme 10. DUH)

I mentioned before that this gets used up very fast especially if you follow the label that suggests you use it "several times a day". If you follow their suggestion, you will end up probably using up the whole tiny thing in ONE day. That's probably why they are always sold in packs but do not fear, in many places I found them to be sold separately and one could pay less than $10 for the experience before dropping $20 - $30 or more. I love it but I do think the price tag is a bit steep for water in a tiny bottle so it might not be for everyone.

4. TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL aqua gel mist (http://seph.me/1pejEJo)
 ($20 for 3.38 oz so ~$5.90/oz)

Of course a Korean brand had to be included because it is the new hype in US right now. I couldn't find this product anywhere else but on the Sephora website (where I bought it) so I'm wondering if it was exclusively only in Sephora?

I just bought it the other day so of course I can't talk about my long term based feelings and thoughts about it but it's number 4 just because I do like it a lot.

The name causes a bit of a pause when you first hear it but cm'on, it's from a brand called "too cool for school"; maybe they were also too cool for an english class but let's not be judgy. BUT. when you actually look at the product, the liquid inside of the bottle is actually.... GEL. WHAAAATTTTT? I know, it's pretty weird. I guess someone didn't fail chemistry in high school like a certain someone (me.sadly.)

It's so cool how it transforms from gel to mist (hey, i'm not excellent in chemistry so let me be!) This one different from a few above actually has a terrifying long list of what it contains and quite frankly, they lost me at the second row as soon as chemistry words started to flow in. Because it is filled with chemical ingredients to miraculously transform such magic, it has a bit of a fragrance smell to it, a little bit more than a bit and I think it covers up chemical smells? I haven't gotten used to it but it's not a harsh smell, it's just a bit of a lingering smell that stays a bit longer than the mist.

The design is very cute, very doodle-ish and I think it's a great look for something that isn't too serious, it is a mist you spray on your face after all :) But I think the biggest flaw for this design is that it doesn't exactly stand out on the shelves so you would have to be looking for it in the first place to maybe catch it.

It isn't my favorite obviously because of the fragrance smell and the price but I think if you're embracing the whole Korean skin care trend that's been going on, you'll like this product just because it's pretty cool, very Korean :)

5. CAUDALÍE Beauty Elixir (http://bit.ly/22asJRY)
($18 for 1 fl. oz. so literally $18/ fl. oz.)

Ok, last on the list guys. I mean there's a lot more than I've tried but these would be my top five reoccurring.

For this product I think, for obvious reasons, it is the most expensive out of the five. You pay almost $20 and get 1 fl. oz. of product. However, this was the first facial mist I've ever bought because of the quality.

Let me start off first with the bottle itself. It's a thick glass bottle with a metal cap. The bottle itself is very heavy compared to all the other bottles (even though it has the least product inside) so it seems very sturdy. I've brought it along with me and carried it around multiple times, haven't had an accident so I doubt it'll break unless you actually put force and try to.

The smell. The smell is like you're standing in the middle of an herb garden and a strong wing blows by. It literally smells so amazing. I will admit that at first, when I first tried it, I wasn't too sure about the fragrance just because I like light and airy smells and this is a very "in your face" sort of smell that stays on for a while before fading away. In the worst thing to me about this product is, sometimes it actually stings. I'm saying this because I've first handedly experienced the sting after i sprayed my face. However, I'm not sure if it was because of the nature of my skin or was it just a reaction I had.

For me, this Beauty Elixir could be a hit or miss because of the price, the smell and the practicalness of the design. If you're looking for something quite lux and like a strong smell, I would say give it a try but if if you're trying to stay budget friendly and would rather have little to no fragrance then I really don't recommend this product.

So that pretty much sums up my top 5 most favorite facial mists (at the moment).
Did I help you solve your problem of facial mists? Probably not but it's ok.

All for now,

Dermstore's Beauty Fix January Subscription Box Review

To start off the new year, I decided to try out a new beauty subscription box and see if it could compare to the Sephora Play box (if you want to try it out, comment your email and I will add you to the friends list, just to maybe boost you up to the top of the wait list).
I recently found out about Dermstore's Beauty Fix box through Karuna, a brand that specializes in masks, from hand masks to face masks (blog post up soon about their new hand, foot mask).
I though I would give it a try. The price it a bit more than Sephora's Play ($10), being at $34.95 one time buy for $24.95/month. It does sound pricey but if it is your first time trying it out, the price lowers down to $12.50 and throw in another 20% when you sign up for the newsletter, the price goes all the way down to $10. Yipee!

Link to read more about the box: http://bit.ly/PSDSJ

So after ordering it, I received my January box within a couple of weeks. One thing I would have to say is that I hated the tracking system. I had no idea where my box was and every time I had to check on it, even having the tracking link in my email, I would have to sign in. But obviously, because I received my box, it isn't such a big deal. Key is to be patience and it'll pop up just like a surprise gift!

The box has a patterned design with the main colors being black and white and a pop of orange. Guessing by the website, it's the same design for every month. Once you open the box, you're greater with "Go Ahead, Be Beautiful" and I have to say that I love the font! Tucking everything in place is orange tissue paper.

For packaging, everything inside the box seems well put together, the shampoo and the primer had a box, all the other products were sealed tight and the mirror was wrapped in bubble wrap. (I took everything out for the purpose of this picture)

As for the contents of the box. I would say that what attracts me most to subscription boxes are the brands I know. Don't get me wrong, new brands are always wonderful to try out, but if within the box, there wasn't anything that seemed familiar, I would probably think twice before getting it. The best thing I thought about for this month was the mini mirror. I mean i've heard of samples of products but a mirror? Whaaaatt? Talk about a game changer right?!

To be honest, I thought the mirror would be a little bit bigger but I do understand that the fact that the box contained a mirror at all was kind of amazing!

The mirror from Danielle Creations - Chrome mini mirror is truly "mini". However, it's truly well made and has one side of 4x magnification! (For another mirror from this brand, click, http://bit.ly/PSDCM)

The next thing that I would have to say I love love love in this box is the Karuna hand mask!

It's AMAZING (a Karuna separate post will be up soon!) I've mentioned Karuna masks in a old post, long long ago about how their masks didn't make me break out and I love the packaging! So obviously, I was excited to get the hand mask! The hand mask is the best for at home pampering. I've used it before it got released and you could still be on your phone, typing work and after a new minutes, your hands are soft and smell amazing!

The last brand I know from this box was Peter Thomas Roth, with the acne stickers (http://bit.ly/PSPTRAD).

To be honest, I think maybe U.S. is a bit slow when it comes to beauty trends. I remember using these acne stickers from Korean beauty brands since I was starting High School, so many years ago. Nonetheless, I am very excited to try these out because I've owned almost everything acne that Peter Thomas Roth has! The sample contains 12 dots which is good for 12 pimples! Or at least 12 times on the same pimple (knock on wood).

Now on to the new brands I have not yet heard of.

Tarina Tarantino - Pearl Glow Luminizing Primer in Pearl (http://bit.ly/1njhnw6)

I'm not so sure about the primer. You get a (full size?) primer in the color pearl. It is very very very very loose.

When trying it on my hand, it just went all over the place because I didn't realize how watery it was. Another thing is I hated the smell. And normally if I hate the smell, it's not going on my face. This would probably be a miss for me. Sad, since it was a full size product.

Medicell Labs - hydrating Calming Facial Mist (http://bit.ly/PSMCFM1)

I've been into the whole facial mist trend since a few years ago when my face was constantly dry throughout the day and I there were times when applying moisturizer by hand was not the best option. I was excited to try this mist out. It did go all over the place, after a few squirts it finally became a mist. I enjoyed the smell and the size is very decent, as you can carry it in your bag and still have enough product inside to last you a good amount of time.

June Jacobs - Papaya Purifying Enzyme Masque (http://bit.ly/PSJJPPM)

I love love love Papaya and this is probably the first time I've seen it being incorporated into a face mask. The smell of this mask is lovely. The size I would say is a deluxe sample size and could last you a few times. The only thing is that I've never heard of this brand before this so I'm a bit hesitant to try it out just because of my sensitive skin :(

Arcona - Magic White Ice (http://bit.ly/PSAMWI)

It's supposed to be a moisturizer in a gel form? The tube is small but I don't think you need a lot of product to cover your whole face. The smell isn't very strong so it wouldn't be too much on your face. It also feels very light weight.

The last product in this box is a shampoo from DS Laboratories (http://bit.ly/1nwpaXb)

It claims to help you get fuller hair. The shampoo itself inside is a very dirt like orangey color. The smell is definitely very strong, almost like those medical shampoos. I'm very scared to try this out actually since my hair is already pretty damaged and the smell is something I wouldn't want my hair to smell like for the day. Not so sure about this product. The size is a decent travel size which is exactly 3.4 oz or 100 ml. However, the expiration date for mine is 10/2016 so I have roughly 9 months to try it out before it expires.

Calculating the price

Danielle Creations mini mirror : $14.99
Karuna skin hand mask: $9.50
Peter Thomas Roth acne-clear dots : $6.00 ($12.00 for 24 dots)
Tarina Tarantino primer: $32.00
Medicell facial mist: $13.95
June Jacobs papaya mask: ~ $8.37 ($62.00 for 3.7oz)
Arcona magic white ice: ~ $11.84 ($42.00 for 1.17oz)
DS Laboratories shampoo: ~ $15.81 ($4.65 for 1oz)

It says on the site that total retail values at $100+ which is true since roughly the total above is $112.46 for January's box.
However, because I don't use all of the above, $24.95 a month depending on the products I actually like seems a bit steep compared to other subscription boxes that are $10 a month. I think however, it's a bargain if you get it the first time for roughly $10.

(Yes i reused this gif because I spent way too much time making it LOL)

All for now,

About the Make Up section

I consider myself a newbie when it comes to cosmetics and skin care.
All the reviews are what I think of the products that I love and have purchased.

It might not be the longest reviews you've ever seen but I don't believe that there is a limit to how many words one can use to display their opinions.

From my perspective,
I look at the product first as someone who self taught themselves about make up and completely try to maintain a unbiased view about the product.

I don't believe in wasting my time talking about something I do not completely love - even though hoarding has been a problem LOL

You'll see that I love doing small gifs and at least one will show up! (hopefully because sometimes it doesn't look right :( )

I am a college student so I want to make sure everything I review is completely affordable because what's a pretty face when you just spent all your rent on make up, right?
(pretty sure getting chased down by the landlord is NOT cute)

Finally,
this section is from someone who is NOT a professional so when it comes to make up applications, I tend to stay on the safe side. I think it's perfect for beginners to just start small and really learn your face before going after trends :)
After all, I am also still learning as I write each post.

Sephora Haul

I've always had the worst skin conditions ever and it's been a long battle between me and my skin which is actually really costly.
I do envy people who can just buy any make-up and make it work but unfortunately, that's not my case.

It's been a roller coaster and even going to see the dermotologist didn't really help with my skin problems.

I'm not a make-up person, since I'm rather lazy in the morning and I like sleeping way better than caring if I look like a zombie walking to class.
BUT.
Some days, you just want to look nice so people won't wonder if you're the undead.

I've tried to get my make-up from well-known shops just because I trust that the ingredients are what they really are and really, I just can't afford to test stuff out. Usually I get my stuff at Sephora since they're probably located at every big shopping center in Houston and they have really friendly staff - most of the time I've been there.
This, by far is my most happiest buy since I've been shopping there.

I bought some facial masks, a compact bb cream, loose powder, a mini moisturizer, a mini mud mask jar, liquid eyeliner and a kabuki brush.

(I don't have the decent video editing skills as I do for pictures so I'm not so confident doing video hauls)

1. The Too Faced kabuki brush

Where do I even start with this brush.
At first, I bought it to go along with my loose powder because I saw Alex (hrh collection) take about it in her recently videos and I really wanted to give it a try.
What can I say?
I LOVE IT.
It's the most softest thing every, it reminds me of all my teddies combined and I feel weird when I say this but I find myself constantly feeling it hahaha. Whatever. I'm already weird.
It's a really good investment and I think it looks adorable with the pink packaging and the little teddy there.
I'm really worried I'll ruin it when I clean it but hopefully baby shampoo will keep it as it is.
This is worth the money I paid for it  (I think it was $38 + tax).

2. Kat Von D. tattoo liner

To be honest, I wasn't really looking for a liner when I bought this.
I was happy with my combination of the M.A.C and Chanel one. (pencil liner first then liquid liner, it really helps keeps everything in place forever!)
I'm a sucker for good and easy eyeliner and I was going to purchase the new benefit cosmetics one but I was talking to people and they all suggested me to get this one because apparently, it stays on, and it's easy to apply.
I bought it to test it out and it really is easy. I could draw very thin lines with no hassle. It stayed on even after I shed some tears (chopping onions for dinner) and through all the sweatiness caused by the lovely sun.
However, sometimes, the liquid doesn't really come down so I wish they had a function where I could control that.
It was though, worth the price ($18) so I'm planning on keeping it.

3. Karuna face masks

I bough these because I tried on the green one once and I really like the packaging (I'm a sucker for nice pretty packaging. Not gonna lie, it effects my decision whether or not I buy it most of the time).
However, it wasn't a pleasant event in the past. Maybe it was because my skin was already sunburnt and had zits but putting it on caused my skin to break out a bit. When I went back for some other masks to try on, the Galleria store didn't have them anymore so I jumped when I got them at Memorial and decided I'll give it another try.
I have yet to use any (I'm a bit afraid it will cause my skin to break out again) but I will in the near future test them out to see.
If you don't have sensitive skin like me, I guess you should try it out just because it will maybe work for you. It just didn't do wonders for me the first time though.
Each was $8 but I think if you get a pack, you get more of a bargain.

4. Hope in a jar from Philosophy.

I actually came across this trying to find a good way to make my sunburns go away. I don't actually recall where I saw the video that led me to this product but back then, since I had my La Mer jar, I didn't really want to invest money in another one.
I still haven't actually used up my La Mer one so I bought this mini jar to test it out while I was waiting to be checked out.
Let me tell you, it really is what the name says it is. The moisturizer didn't cause any break outs, I could tell my skin was loving it since it has never been smoother.
The only down side to this is that the smell isn't very pleasant. Many people have said they can't stand it but me, I finally found a moisturizer that suits my skin so I'll just suck it up. I have to right?
This tiny jar is about $15 but I'm sure I won't be using it up anytime soon so for now, it's well worth my money and I'm so happy, if only the smell was a bit more pleasant.

5. Glam Glow mud mask

I've got so many suggestions I should use this but I actually haven't got a chance to test it out yet since I'm still really happy with my Boscia peel off masks.
I think it'll be nice when I do because many have told me it works wonders for skins.
Once again, it was a long line and I was just spending some time browsing through the travel mini samplers. I love tiny versions of stuff. Don't judge.

6. BareMinerals Blemish Remedy and Dr. Jart BB cream

So I don't know why I photographed these two together but I will update this post and talk about each one separately.

For the bareMinerals blemish remedy, it's a loose powder that actually works well with your acne or blemishes. However, if you're looking for full coverage, it doesn't actually cover much but if you only have a few spots you can cover up with concealer, it actually is a really good cover. It's super light and since I don't like cake-y makeup, I'm currently in love with it. My skin has been pretty good after I've been pairing this up with the jar of hope above so it's been a smooth flight trying to put on makeup every morning.

The BB cream. I actually bought it because of the way it comes when you use it. It's not like your typical BB cream or foundation you squeeze out but instead, it comes out just like a setting powder, with a sponge for application and a mirror. It's such a nice design for lazy people such as myself since there's no hassle with dirty fingers or brushes, you just use the sponge to apply it and the sponge itself is super easy to clean. It doesn't give you much coverage but I think it doesn't cause my skin to break out like some foundations so I like it. It's a bit more cake-y than the powder but this is a more thick application.

(I will add pictures of the two separately but for some reason I haven't had the time to take them now)

I haven't written a blog post in quite awhile and since I have a bit of free time on my hands (between exams) I wanted to share this in case anyone wanted to know some info about products that works with troubled skin.

All for now,
